This is a high quality 2-piece replacement latch for horse trailer tack rooms, entrance doors on LQ horse trailers, RV's & travel trailers. These products are an excellent replacement latch and an alternative to paying the high prices and shipping charges of the big-name manufacturers. Also, these new key codes are more uncommon. All of these door latches have a deadbolt, so you may have to punch out a small hole on the wall side of the latch (an easy task for a DIY person). All multiple orders will be keyed alike, unless we receive a note at the bottom of the order.
Each latch order will include a locking exterior paddle latch with deadbolt, sandwiched with an interior paddle handle featuring an inside release. Also included are 2 keys, a switch plate, a door cover plate & mounting screws. No instructions included (rated as a very easy replacement). You may not have to replace the switch plate or the door edge cover at all. Just remove the 4 mounting screws from the inside of the existing latch, sandwich the 2 new main parts together & attach with the 4 new mounting screws. Line up the switch plate & door edge plate, tighten the screws & you are done.
This latch will replace 99% of all door latches as pictured with the deadbolt & key cylinder placed in a diagonal position. All pics are shown for a left side door application. if your hinges are on the left & latch is on the right, turn the image upside down door the correct application.If the cylinder & deadbolt are place vertically (one directly over the other), you should purchase from the manufacturer. If you remove the screws from the interior portion of your latch, you will find the manufacturer & their part # written on the inside.
Fits a CUT-OUT HOLE on the exterior of the door from 2 1/2" to 3" wide, and 3 1/2" to 4" tall.
